![]() About Dr Matt PritchardDr Matt Pritchard, the Science Magician, fuses his love of STEM subjects and magic. His amazing performances both inspire and inform. Matt loves being creative and is passionate about simplifying the complex. He aims to be a Curator of Wonder; sharing the curious and sparking new questions. His fast-paced delivery packed with demonstrations and audience interactions creates an engaging presentation full of surprises and wow moments. Matt is comfortable working across the age ranges and sensitively adapts his delivery to your audience’s context and needs. From tiny village schools to Las Vegas casino complexes, Matt can bring his expertise and enthusiam to your event. Previously Matt conducted atomic physics research at Durham University. He subsequently went on to work within the Education department at Thinktank Science Museum, Birmingham, presenting shows, workshops and developing educational resources. Now, as an independent science communicator, he performs to over 30,000 people a year and works with organisations that include national laboratories, visitor attractions, science festivals, and The Royal Institution. With 18 years of working with school and family audiences. In addition to this experience, he has spent the last 25 years working as a professional magician and is an Associate of the Inner Magic Circle - one of only 300 people in the world to hold this distinction. He is a two-times winner of the international Best Illusion of the Year contest. The illusions he create feature in museums, West End theatre shows, Las Vegas exhbits, and TV programmes. He writes for Genii, The Conjuror's Magazine, an international publication that is approaching it's 90th birthday. |
